Wordmore is a daily word and more online guessing game, find the word, year and question with a hard word available for those wanting a word challenge.

Guess the word, year and question by completing the boxes

Words are either 5 or 6 letters. If you want more of a challenge, turn on hard mode and a fourth hard option appears with either a 7 or 8 letter word.

Use the onscreen keyboard to enter your answer and press the GO button to see the results (or use an external keyboard and press enter).

Settings and information pages are accessed from the menu (three bars top left of screen).

By default the colours used are RED, AMBER and GREEN, this can be changed in the menu by toggling the alternative colour button.

The letters U and T are in the right place, there are no letters R, O or E in the word.

The letter I is in the word but not in the correct place.

There is only one letter E in the word and it is currently in the wrong place.

When guessing the year an arrow will show to let you know if the answer is either higher or lower.

A question can be either a word or numeric answer and may even include a decimal point. The keyboard will advise the type of answer required.

The sections will swap automatically once you complete one however they can be done in any order if you prefer, swap between them by pressing the buttons at the top of the screen.

There is not a lot of room so guesses are hidden from view.

If you would like to see your previous guesses and results press or click on the answer line and they will be shown in a scrollable box the same as these instructions.

There are no limits to how many guesses can be made on each section. Each valid guess on an item will increment the guess counter for that section and the overall score will be shown on completion.

Total games played plus best scores and averages can be seen for each section.

Ensure you complete the game everyday to keep your game streak up.

Miss a day and sadly the counter goes back to 0.

Guesses are processed on the server so it is not possible to download the page and run it off-line.

A big list of words has been created but its just for fun, not every possible word is going to be in the lookup tables. If a word is not found it will not count towards your guess, just try a different word.

When the game is complete the button is at the bottom of the results to share todays score.

A new set of items to guess is available every day at Midnight UK time.

The game requires a unique game id cookie (wm_id) and cookie date (wm_cdate) to ensure correct operation and compliance of EU cookie regulations

Game data is saved on the local browser to enable you to continue a game on the same day and see overall statistics for all the previous games played.

To reduce unwanted spam the contact pages use a Google Captcha tool. Google may be able to track usage when using this tool.

The website uses Google Analytics to provide anonymous website usage data to help determine visitor numbers and page insights.

The website does not use facebook or other social media pixels however, you can share your results and comments on social media sites and you agree to abide by their privacy policies when doing this. Any information external sites collect when using their services is outside the scope of this website.
